JAKARTA The presence of the U17 Jakarta League, which was initiated by journalists and football lovers, received a welcome from the club. A total of 18 clubs are ready to compete for the competition which will be held at the Pancoran Soccer Field (PSF) field in Jakarta from April to October 2025.
Considering that the competition was first held, the committee held 9 trial matches in the Pancoran PSF field on Sunday (12/1/2025).
“We deliberately hold this trial in order to prepare for a better match. Especially for the club so they can expand and prepare a better team for kick off later,” said the Chairperson of the Jakarta U17 League Implementing Committee, Azhari Nasution.
“Yes, we are holding a competition without paying for this registration fee because we want to produce Indonesian national team players. Because, we are sure that through a good competition we will produce quality players. Not in the football dictionary, a player was born from the tournament, “said the initiator of the Jakarta U17 League, Josep Erwiyantoro.
As the owner of PSF and also an adviser to the Jakarta U17 League committee, Gede Widiade supports the implementation of the U17/2025 Jakarta League which will compete for the DKI Jakarta Governor’s Cup.
“I fully support the implementation of the U17 Jakarta League because the concept is clear. Frankly, I appreciate the performance of the committee showing the data and photos of the players who appear on the website www.ligajkt-u17.com, it’s not easy. This is a competition that is really managed professionally and I’m sure I can produce quality players. Because quality players can only be born from competitions. Here, each club will undergo 34 matches according to FIFA provisions where each player has to undergo at least 30 matches a year,” said Gede Widiade.
Not only respecting orphanages, Gede Widiade, who is known as a footballer, noticed the referees who were involved in the trial match.
“We give the referee honorarium before the match. Let them feel cared for and enthusiastic in leading the match. And, they must also understand the purpose of this competition to find quality players. So, fair play is prioritized,” he explained.
The Jakarta U17 League pre-season trial is scheduled three times. The next two trials are scheduled for January 26 and February 16, at the same place.
